ER Nurses Care to Spread the word about "Texting and Driving"

 

Tragedy strikes everyday and as an ER nurse I get to witness first-hand some of those tragedies that involve children. As a mom myself I want to protect my kids and arrive alive to my destination, so as tempting as it is to pull out my smart phone and text, I don't. The times I have tried to just look down briefly or type on my iPhone almost landed me in the ditch, scared me enough to stop. Watch this video, these kids have a very good point, it can wait!!! If it is such an emergency then pull over, send your text and then get back on the road.
Please help me support The Mommies Network which I am so proud to be a part of for several years now. Pass this on to everyone you know and some you don't.
Because the next Fool in the car texting and driving could kill you and your kids!!!

Only Fools Text and Drive ~ April Fools Day 2011

This April Fools Day, The Mommies Network would like national community support in making it an official “Only Fools Text and Drive Day”. By launching a video where children tell parents how they feel about texting and driving, and passing it along through their 25,000+ members nationwide, TMN intends to do just that. To pass along the message that “Texting and Driving is For Fools”, the video encourages everyone to drive with their headlights on April 1, 2011. 

The Mommies Network knows how dangerous texting and driving can be. Being a national mom’s support group, their focus is on the children and how texting and driving can affect them, through example as well as safety.

Thank you for caring enough to view the video, hopefully you will choose to arrive alive and not text and drive. Moms also need to set the example to our children, if they see us texting while driving it sends a message that it is ok for them to one day also do the same.
